  • Verify at Richmont

    Hi,

going to get a pre-own PAM

    1) may i know what is the waiting time for Richmont to do a verification on a PAM ?

    2) if i request it to go for full service(understand that cost is somewhere $500), will they verify 1st then accept the watch? Main objective is to save the verification cost as the watch will need a service too.
Once they accept the watch for servicing do it mean the watch is authenic ?

    Thanks for reading

A cheaper way to do it is to bring the watch to Richemont and ask them if servicing is necessary (you may add that the watch is running a bit slow). They will get their technicians to open up the watch and see if any parts are worn out or if it requires lubrication, gasket changes, change of rusty cannon pin, etc etc. Once it comes back to you with a quote and list of things to change, it means that the watch is not a fake. They know what to look out for, so no worries. It's just like how you 'save' on Rolex servicing.

          Heard from some pple said, may not be true though, if they found the watch is a replica one, they have 2 options for you;

          1. They will confiscate the watch.
          2. They will return you the watch and sue you.

To me both options also jilat

option 1 is ok, as I have not pay for it.
option 2 is ok too, as the seller will be there with me.
This is my 1st trip to Richemont.

I had sent my jaeger to Richemont for servicing a few weeks ago and they called me to say that it could be ready for collection on 26/12/08. So, they should be open full day that day. Their no. is 63172588. Better call now as they could be on half day today.

                          Hi k1w1,
I'm not sure this place do verification or not but no harm asking the Rolex Namsawang at Pinklao near PATA department store.
Again I don't know much about Rolex but just some info which hopefully can help.
Apologise if I'd given you any wrong or invalid information.
                          Regards.
