What does this mean? Is this a genuine guarantee then? Will Rolex still honour this?

as long as dated and AD stamp, it is ok. unnamed means anyone can fill in name and say its theirs.

I'm just wondering if I have a expired guarantee paper with my name and address on it, can I just blacken it with a black pen marker when selling to the next buyer? Will this effect my sales value?

if you blacken with pen marker, i suspect you will devalue the paper. as it may signify a "hot" item.

Bro, dun be misunderstood. Meaning, some dun like to c other people's name on the warranty card on watches that they purchased. So, with corrector tape, it can be covered but at the same time, it can be reverted. There is no alteration on the warranty card though.

Is undated card better? Can we just fill in the current date and send to RSC for repair when required?

undated card is "better" but you cant leave it undated for 10yrs, then all of a sudden put 25/2/2009 in the date line

Undated is always good but there is also a time frame. eg, u cant fill in a Y series watch dated today and send in for repair. They when sure look into the production series year and ask u when u purchase this watch and from where.

Undated in extend of additional 1 to 2 years is possible.

Thanks for the answer. Seems that the best case is to leave my name and address intact when selling to the next buyer.
But just wondering, since the paper is already expired, why the name and address are still important considering the main factor on the paper is the serial number matchng the watch?

Probably a historical trace to the original owner in case of crime. Then again in legal aspect, does this mean that when the original owner sells away his watch legally, there need to be a memo signed off between the new and old owner saying that the transaction actually took place.

Just in case the owner crys fowl and the watch can be traced back to him.
