  • Pulling out the crown

    Hi All

Just to check when you pull the crown all the way out to adjust the minute n GMT hand for GMTII Master do you think the crown will dislocate from the watch by excessive force. (You will feel a tick sound when setting to this position)
I tried on some cheapo watch and the crown(with stem) just simply came out from the watch.

depends on how excessive force you do and condition of the watch(rolex).

if the watch movement especially the stem is in not so good condition, it is possible to pull the entire stem out aka broken stem through the use of alot of force

u mentioned about cheapo watch, not sure what you mean. but if poorly constructed watch and/or sub quality material used to make the stem, movement, it is easier to damaged the stem through excessive force.
