  • Wat is d estimated cost for servicing Sub 16610?

    Dear Rolex collectors,

I have a 15 year old Submariner 16610. recently when i wind the watch - it gives me a "jam" feeling after 15 winds. It seems that the watch cannot continue to wind and something might break if continue. The watch is running fine and accurate.

Have not send for servicing in the last 5 years - How much will it cost me to send in to RSC for servicing?

Anyone who has send in their 16610 for servicing - can share with me?

My worry is - will they change my 15 yrs old type crown to the new type crown like on the sub LV? Do RSC have old parts?

RSC quoted me $490 to over haul my submariner last month.

thanks for the feedback. Looks like mine will cost around close to $600 if it feels like there is a mechanism problem. Although my sub is running fine just feel like overhauling it. Time to use it till worn and send in.

          service fees

I was also quoted $490 for servicing a late 2003 Sub.
was told they would change rubber gaskets, + re-oil.
Sounds more like servicing, not overhaul.

5 years service 1 time = $100 per year accrued.
definitely cheaper than servicing a car twice a year + tyre changes + road tax + insurance.
