You're right, somehow Zenith is not as widely loved as Rolex and Panerai in Singapore. But they have great movements, designs and very rich history.

This Defy Xtreme is very hardcore and the dial is multi-layered.

LOL ... it definitely burnt a huge hole and probably inflicted 4th degree burns, but it's worth the pain to see this Zenith on my wrist.

The history behind the Xtreme series is that Zenith wanted to design a create a watch this is indestructible. Conceived as a Formula One car, the design of the Defy Xtreme is closely linked to its function. The multilayered dials combine honeycomb aluminum, shock-resistant Hesalite and carbon fiber where the layers of materials are placed on top of each other. The honeycombing, which - like a bees’ nest - makes the materials stronger. Zenith's engineers have also used the physical theory of shock waves to help design the case so that any shock is dispersed and therefore absorbed by the structure as a whole, rather than concentrated at a single point. The helical hands of the counters are also a guarantee of greater strength because they dissipate energy in case of shock. The movement is further strengthened by anti-shock balance bridges made out of an ultra-light, ultra-resistant alloy called Zenithium ... thus making this watch virtually indestructible.
