  • [noob]Moonwatch manual wind

is the crown screw down type or just pull out?
when pull to adjust time, small seconds hand does not stop?
when winding, how to know it "stop"(according to manual, do not over-wind, wind till it stop.)

    millions thanks.

    Bro,
The crown is non screw down type. Just pull it up to adjust time and push it back down when done.
The movement is non hacking type, meaning the second hand does not stop when the crown is pulled up for time adjustment.
Finally wind gentlly until the crown cannot be wound anymore. Do not over wind means do not wind it forcefully when it is already tight. For moon watch, it takes about 50+ winds from flat to fully wound, but may vary for different people.
Watches are like potato chips - You never stop at one

Never political, seldom diplomatic, always honest

      thanks bro pegasi,
figure it out by winding just now.
but when the adjusting time, when i turn counter-clockwise abit,
the small second hand seems stop, if i turn counter-clockwise some more,
the small second hand seems like can turn counter-clockwise also...
very scared if spoiled the watch... >.<!!

      millions thanks.

Bro, it should not stop if u in the correct stop. It run when the spring is count up.
Gentle wind, (normal ppl, half turn) should be around 90 to 100 turn, do not force if u feel tight!!

I have just collected my speedy,
it was sent in for repair due to small second hand not running.
wind full also not moving, hairspring not oscillating.
          bought only 1 month.

repair is fast though, less than a week.
went down grab my speedy and ask what's wrong,
was told column wheel mis-align(??), due to impact.

this evening try to use the chrono function,
to my horror, it stop running again!
I tried stop, reset, set.... still not moving,
then spin the crown abit, then it start moving again(phew!)!

speedy is legendary, but my real life experience tell me,
          speedy is over-rated.

to who is thinking of getting speedy, think twice.

Is your speedy new model with 1861/1863 movement? If yes, it should not have column-wheel. Only the older model with the 321 movement comes with column-wheel.
