2nd Watch is rare with brown dial and bezel, one of my friend got it from Passions and later trade-in back to passions... should be less than 7k now...

To be truthful, the actual watch don't look attractive at all, that was the reason my friend sold it away.

May be it is for you to "KEEP", a so called "collector item"?

I think conservatively by the start of q3-2008 dun see any new pieces at retailers Liao.

                    Rolex-GMT Master II 16713

                    Hi all,

New here, need advice. My dad passed away recently and my mom asked me to sell his Rolex bought in 1995 and we intend to donate the money to his favourite charities (Muslim orphanages). Last serviced in May 2010. Comes with the certificate serial no. S490197. Any idea how much we can get for this watch? Where to sell offline? Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks.

My condolences to you on the demise of your beloved father ..

If it is 'offline' you want to sell your watch, there are plenty of choices of pre-owned watch shops around. You may start by approaching the forum advertisers like Watch Arena, Precision Watch, Athena, etc. Others out there include JW Watch, Hobbylink Watches, Passions Watch, etc.

Alternatively, you may want to post some pics of the watch and provide more information about the watch to sell it here in the forum. Some useful information will include the watch condition, whether it has full set of box(ex) & manuals/papers, extra accessories, etc.

Sorry abt your dad. but if i were you, i will hold on to the rolex. Donate using your own money. Mostly likely you will miss it in time to come...

My condolences, I am not too sure about 16713 2nd hand price but I agree with the others here that if you can afford, it may be good to have it as a keepsake. Could be better to fork out some money to donate if you can afford it.

But if it was your father's last wish, I guess post it up in this forum as a bid and see what others come up with for it. Would probably fetch you and the charities more than a 2nd hand dealer.

101% agree with the rest the brothers here.

Just to share, one of the motivation for me to keep and grow my collection of rollies and Pam is having the thought that one fine day when I pass on, this will be something that my son can remember me of when every time he put one on his wrist.

Don't know u or your dad personally but this watch does hold sentimental value.
