Newbie noob questions

Greetings to all. Virgin post though in forum for quite some time.

Wanted to get some opinion from experienced bros here.

From a investor point of view... is it better to get a IWC or Pam?? Cos already owned rollies... If so, which model will be good to look at that will retain it's values (not necessary increase it's value)?

Well I think I have learnt quite alot from this forum and the general rule is..buy what you like...

If you want something safe and value is THERE 1...buy more Rolex lor

Some points to share

My own guidelines for retaining value and avoiding steep depreciation are:

1) Buy Rolex (if this not what you like, that's a different matter)
2) Buy Sports Models (easier to resell) ; Buy Gold Watches
3) Buy Second Hand (sport watches retain second hand value; gold watches also retain second hand value

Another very important guideline is to buy only what you intend to wear and
enjoy. Quite pointless having a watch sitting inside a safe and a bank box.

IMHO...rolex probably not the BEST watch in the world but it hold the value better than other watch.

Yes very true, preowned Rolex holds its value well especially sport models. You won't lose much.

I think 1.5bar is asking for second opinion if beside rolex which is the next watch he should get IWC or pam but think here too much rolex supporter liao so only rolex rolex haha
I will get pam as think the value hold pretty good also i like the look of the watch with many strap to play with IWC will be the next if i were to get another looking at big pilot big nice watch

Of cos is pammies as its price only goes up and no down...but for local selling prices IMO is still high..maybe can try to get it overseas plus tax rebate..But still buy watches dun get it for investment purposes,in upcoming bad economy..wont gain much either.

Thx for the valuable advises fellow bros. I'm presently lookin into another half gold sub... Think gold is the in-color next yr.. lol.. I'm already in finanical markets so tryin to diversify abit.

BTW, as i'm holdin a sea dweller, bit sick of the bezel.. can i change it to either Pesi or Coke bezel?? If so, how much will it be and where can i get it done??

For Pam i think the entry level like 000, 005, 111,112 is quite a safe buy , won't lose too much if wanna sell later .
For IWC , the only model i can think of maybe is the Big pilot .
