  • LeCoultre vs JLC

    Guys,

Might I have some clarification on the difference?? Seems to be the same but yet seems to be different

Le Coultre bought Jaeger to become Jaeger Le-Coultre if I'm not wrong.

Some pieces destined for the US market (e.g. the Master Mariner Deep Sea) in the 1960s/70s continued to be marked only as Le Coultre (why I don't recall), but internationally they are marked as Jaeger Le-Coultre. One example is my father's JLC Master Mariner from 1970 which I've seen on ebay-USA as a Le Coultre.

Anyway - I think is off-topic for a rolex vintage forum.

LeCoultre & JLC are one & the same. The former was used in US market due to taxation issues, arising from trade war between US & Europe.
