well said. i dont think it applies only to manual watches, automatic watches as well. it is better to check thoroughly before handing over the money.

well in this current world...if there is any possibilities to off load a partial damage watch, I believe would like to take the 'burden' off their shoulders and get some $ back. there are many dishonest sellers out there. sometimes you do pay some $ to learn your lesson and see a true character.

Yes. In this market we should deal honest. Now realise one more fault. Water proof seal is also not tight! F***! What a deal!

Yeah, he mentioned that watch is working fine blar blar blar... and saying that i'm the one who over wind it and cause the pin to be damage. Come on la, this is not the first Panerai i owned. I had owned several of them before.

If i'm the one causing the damage to the pin and how come the power reserve is only less than 12 hours? So which means under his hands already like this?

He just push all back to me..

The transaction is completed yah? Then I doubt you can do much about it. Coz even if you managed to get a watch technician to find out the problem, how are you gonna approach the seller? Like what ac_wong75 said, the seller can easily say that it was perfectly fine when he handed the watch over to you.

You may be ina sticky stiuation. The seller might claim that it was working well before he sold it to you. I would think the best way to get around it is inform teh seller first that you are sending it to a relaible watch techinician to check on the mechanism. Do get the watch technician opinion on the causes of the issues and try to negotiate your way for compensation... just 2 cents worth.

Not immediately. Once I reach home, got the time to play with the watch then I realise.

Now lagi best. Power reserve less than 12 hours.

If you just purchase a manual watch this morning from someone here and immediately realize that the watch had got some problem with the winding system. The watch doesn't seems to fully wind. It just keeps going no matter how many turns.
What will you do? LL, move on or?
    Thanks!
FYI, the watch is not cheap.
    Depends on what was advertised?
But what do you mean you purchased and then 'immediately realized'?
