Personally, cant stand the Prius, looks fugly to me.
But the Civic Hybrid is basically the same as the normal Civic, which is a good competitor to the EX and/or Altis. So a hybrid version of it, makes very good sense in the current fuel climate. Go check it out and see if you like it.

C280 (3000cc) - 9.6l/100km combined cycle (mix of urban and country)
C65-AMG (6200cc) - 13.4l/100km
IS250 (2500cc) - 9.1l/100km combined cycle (same as above)
in real life you are looking at about 10-11l/100km more if you are idling in causeway jam, and even more if you are using turbo etc etc.
both cars iirc need premium (RON95)

totally agree, because with the 1500cc you will stress the engine at normal speeds, thus consuming more petrol. with the 2000cc engine, your normal runs operate at much less stress (less RPM) and therefore better FC

feilong, I seriously wld like to caution u to do more research on the mitsubishi / car forums.... 1.5 pretty under powered and not fuel economical... With current crazy fuel prices, u better go thru yr options properly... But i do agree the car is nice... I wld not hv hesitated to encourage u if the fuel prices are not in this level of concern... My 2cents here...
