It's low but not low enough. Buy a little when it crosses below US$1,100 and buy lots when it goes below $1,000. I think it should happen this year when rates increase. But again, gold is not an investment, it's a hedge.

Get a good solid (at least 18k) gold watch from a reputable watch maker.

I had always felt that it is better to keep your spare cash as gold than cash in bank account, Had started 2 years ago on buying gold pieces.

hmm.. I think it is better to buy gold in bar or pieces with any fancy form as any design would have to pay extra for designs which is not the main intent in the first place.? so far I had been getting it from pawn shops.. any ppl here got any good lobang.?

I have a feeling that gold price is on a long term downtrend.

There are some analyst calling for "Buy" on gold between now to Oct 2015 anything around $1000+ or below that. Seems the world printed too much paper money and when it all hits the fan later this year, gold will surge from Nov into 2016 and break its previous high!

IMO, Buy a bit of everything when the prices are down and at different levels because it is very difficult to catch the bottom and always try to build up your cash reserves.

You would have lost quite a fair bit by now...if you started two years ago

Once the Fed raises rates we will see people dump gold like a hot stone.
Actually since 2 years ago, the trend for gold has turned dwonwards

                        To me
Gold is no go! But Gold Rolex is go go go!

Your diversified approach is certainly sound.

The volatility of gold is there (studied the "ups" and "downs") currently the trend is down.... for me i was thinking of getting some for investment ... ended up with some limited editions gold bars from SK... the SG50 series... hopefully my auspicious numbers can raise in value in the long term

Physical gold bars are never a short term investment.
Too much cost associated and the sale of it - hassle.

Commod prices might trend upwards but depends on who you ask about the lowest price it can go..

For investment, I will leave it to the FM.

Crazy amount of work went behind the scene and it's wits vs. wits plus who has the information first.

have been buying physical gold for the past 10 years. In long term, I think it is still a good investment option for a diversify portfolio.

just 10 days ago we were talking about gold prices at just above $1000, maybe good time to buy some.

Gold future breaking above $1,100! an ounce earlier today, as comments from Federal Reserve Vice Chairman Stanley Fischer suggested the U.S. central bank may not hike interest rates in September as the market has assumed.
