last wed/thurs go scs fishing... NNB, f-up catch... only 1 ang chor, the rest of ppl also F-up.. BUT ... alot of f-ing sotong ... hehehee... late afternoon, see bait kanna munch up, so try sotong jig... NNB, down only hook up leow ... almost LJLJ all the way to midnight... i catch until sian... give up...lost count, but must hv at least 60 pcs .. next day hand ache ... hmmm

Hi Jonathan,

If i remember correctly, the reservoirs with designated legal fishing grounds are Lower Seletar Reservoir, Lower Pierce Reservoir, Kranji Reservoir, Bedok Reservoir and MacRitchie Reservoir.

I have only tried the first 3 reservoirs. Most of the time, i'm at the illegal areas. Oops!! Last time of coz...

Hi Jonalau, i assumed you are referring to fishing at the legal fishing grounds at the reserviors. If so, then the peacock bass and toman will be your primary targets.

For toman, i prefer to use surface lures (popper, sliders, etc). Its more entertaining to catch them this way as the action is more visual. Other lures like spoons, jigs, spinners and swimming lures (shad profile) do work on them too.

For peacock bass, flies or flies jig work best for me. Poppers, jigs, spinners, small swimming lures work too. Flouro colours (green/yellow) tend to work better too. Peacock bass usually starts feeding when there is light.

Pet, this month only left with 18,19,20 weekend liao. The rest all got things liao. How? Can?

total fishes:
7x parrots, 1x ray, 2x chi mi sua, 1x chi leng sua, 6x small gpa, 1x baby shovelnose ray ( abt 5kg nia ), 2x AK, 1x kaci, 1x sai toh ( surprise catch ), 1x yellow tail, 1x peh hee ... etc, as far as i can recall ...

I'm very interested to learn more about lure fishing in Singapore. Any bro here patient enough to teach me about the types of lures to use and legal catch and release spots in Singapore?

After I learn, I want to bring my 7 year old daughter fishing on weekends as she is also very keen to learn!

NNB ay ... boey tarhan... boat man monday ask me wait long long ah for makan ah, i say CB, wait 1 hr 15min to tarpao.... $%!@%#$(!%^@$%!*#$ ... he say sunday father day .. alot of local also go there and eat .. .so full hse wait long long ...

anyway, wkend hor, usually alot of anglers also, come bck take shower, makan also diff.

so decided to try tengirri, cos i dont 1 to be out whole day lookng for sail

he also tell me got recent cobia catch, can try try, so after a few tengirri , decided to try for cobia... but NNB, now also sotong time, i put bait in for cobia .. sotong makan ... NNB

maybe somewhere mid july to 20+ july rompin, can.
