darkie. If u r set on buying a 500D, then dun buy at Comex. The freebies not worth the money. Those freebies are worthless and already factored in. If u r buying a Canon, there is a exchange program that Canon runs. Bring any old canon camera and u can exchange for a xxx series DSLR with top up. It would amount to 20+ % discount and u still get the promo freebies.
Bring any old slr and u can trade up to a 50D.
Call up Canon Service Center to find out about top up prices. Then when u go to COMEX later, you can compare which is more worthwhile.
