I am impressed with their (PUB) inefficiency . Preventive measures should be taken at all cost and especially we "branded" SGP as a first world country with our brillant millions dollars brains.

I more impressed that "their" million dollar wage can produce a flood in ORCHARD.

But I must applaud for PUB that there were a lot of drainage cleaning and works went on yesterday. Esp Balmoral Road there, they closed one lane to open up the road to clear the drain...

Looks like the said amount (hundreds of millions) spend over the decades to improves the drainage systems has well gone down the flood. Only happen 50yrs onces???..... may be next time we will find Singapore down under the sea.

Now seems happen once every 5 days... Can't they just admit that the canal system is outdated??? This kind of rainfall happened many times before but this kind of flood seldom happened before.... very disappointed with PUB...

was in tuas in the morning, heavy rain... i observe the water flow on the walk way/ pavement and to drain cover... wow... during down pour, alot of leaves got trap on the cover. i look inside the drain, it's deep, think more thn a man's ht... but not really full......but walkway couple of inches of water.. rain water unable to drain fast enough cos of leaves.
