I like "mentor member"...is like not a mod but can act like a mod hahaha.

Come to thing of it the secondary title (i.e. rolex lover, rolex master etc) could be the ones irrelevant or misleading since some members despite very into watches may not own a rolex. I am not suggesting to remove this secondary tittle though.

i agree that this being a singaporean forum, having such 'titles' are very local flavour. however, sg-roc is in the process of revamping itself and as such those names can be 'offensive'.

we welcome suggestions and feedback to what kind of titles can be used to replaced.

I believe it is more of a 'fun' thing the mods have created so that people stay long in the forum. And I appreciate that . But now that the 'title' has changed, I feel more relieved.. . "lao jiao" made me feel like I have an "old banana".. . Some more "super".. ! Aiyo!! Bo char-bo ai wa liao le..

Just noticed today that the old member ranks have been replaced by the new ones. No more super lao jiao and all that but became member or senior member etc. I guess the new ranks are to cater for the increasing international members, but I kinda prefer the local flavour.

Hehe...lao jiao means u around long enuf already not say you are expert. It's like in the office, u work very long then become lao jiao, nothing to do with your capability, although most lao jiao think or act like they know everything

I beg to differ, bro. Different people, different interpretations. It's when you have such a 'title' that people will approach you with queries. I have received calls from members here who were not asking about the sales of my watches/items. Instead, they were seeking advices on other watch-related matters. Not that I mind but I'm afraid I don't really have the answers to all queries. And it is troublesome to have to tell each time how you got your 'title'..

Anyway, it's good that the mods did some adjustments..
