I just reread my first response and my tone didn't seem exactly friendly, sorry, my intention was laced in jest but forgot to add a smiley. But yeah, in hindsight, I think we're a tad off topic! : p

I've also clarified my potentially miscontrue-able tone with Bro Ocean, it's amazing how a missing smiley or 'haha' can change the meaning of a message.

Anyway, we're back on course with the topic now moving on to straps! My verdict is that while JW's range is extensive, it's also a little expensive for average folk like me.

Thus, I was pleasantly suprised to find that Sinlian pawnshop carried a wide range of Paros and other brands at very attractive prices, $10-15. Also have those in 17mm that fit Boy-size Rolex at only $10.
I think I spent $35 on 3 straps or something.
One of them was a nice, thick buffalo-like strap that I quicky put on my IWC UTC that looks better with slightly thicker straps because of the watch case thickness!
aiyoh, guys. No offence taken pl. Was just kidding ... . Never see my meh?

They do carry straps bro, can check them out if you want, they're in Bedok, around your East area. Sin Lian also carry this brand called La Vie, quite cheap.
Hmmm...I find that the Paros quality is decent enough and the wear & tear issue lies with the shop stocking them for too long, so after a while of wearing, it disintigrates.

Speaking of paros strap. My friend passed me one for sale and I must say its quality is good. I have it up at the Straps Sale thread

    Bro Ivan,
Their straps are surely pricier than neighborhood shops carrying similar brands like Paros but JWs range seems to be more extensive. I suggest that you check out the mom-pop shops in your neighborhood first and if nothing tickles your fancy, head down to JW.

    Hehehehe....no lar...me just a typical uneducated lout...hehehehe....BTC as the hokkien phase goes...Hehehe...

I think to go to JW without buying is a uphill task as the prices and watches there are pretty attractive....and i love the Nomos there....which make things worse...nearly pull the trigger on the Nomos power reserve the last time i was there...but as usual , my sensible OC knocked my head and ask me to think properly and not be so easily seduced by the beauty( i meant the watch and not Mrs JW) ...hehehehehehehe
