Your $$$ get eroded with inflation anyway. So if you go instalments, it as if you are paying or "using less face value of your $" now. So in a way, the watch dun costs as much. But then this assume the watch doesn't depreciatie (which is unlikely).Originally posted by Watch View PostJust thinking, would it be the same if I saved the money for 36 month and buy?
Of cause, I get to wear it now.. but besides this, any other benefits in getting installments? Example priice increases???
Anyway, it is just another "self fulfilling justification" why you should get that watch!!! (Poison Poison)... hehe...Current babies:
Sub 16610LN D series
PAM 312 M series
IWC 500112 Laureus Limited Edition
Wish list:
116613LB?
a good White dial watch

i think what's important to note is, the price difference if we are buying under such a long installment plan vs shorter installment plan vs credit card vs cash. What's the diff? That's the key.
32months is really stretching it man. Take note also that when u buy with installment plan, u are locked up with that credit card for the same period. And when it comes to annual fee - mine is $200 usually, you will get stuck and have to pay up for that annual fee. I nvr pay for annual fee as i just threaten to cancel card and the credit card company will waive the annual fee charges.
So a 32mths installment plan will tie you up with the credit card company for about 3 yrs. that's at least $450 - $600 additional charges one has to bear. Do factor in all these charges when you purchase your item.

That's a good piece of advice, I must say. As for me, even with on-going instalments, I will still threaten to cancel the CC if my request for fee waiver is not met. But till date, I have not need to threaten any ..Originally posted by Finclk View Posti think what's important to note is, the price difference if we are buying under such a long installment plan vs shorter installment plan vs credit card vs cash. bro, how do you threaten to cancel the CC when you are locked up with them? Because if you are on installment plan, you are locked in to using that card for the same duration and hence you still have to pay for the credit card annual fees?Originally posted by Oceanklassik View PostThat's a good piece of advice, I must say. Anyway, anyone knows how much is the actual cost of using this new installment plan? I want to go down and check out with them siah..
