  • How many watches is enough for you?

Was chatting with a bro on the above mentioned topic, while conducting a deal over lunch at the same time. We both agreed than 5-6 watches is about the right number to own to cover the different style for different occasion and yet have enough wrist time for all the watches.

What is your idea number of watches to own and why? Please do not give "you only need one watch to tell time", or "no need watch since can tell time from handphone" kind of answer. Anyway I do not believe any member here would think one watch is enough

I have a feeling that this topic has been discussed before, and if so please bear with me...

For me, 3 is enough. Easier to maintain and they have better wrist time from me.

I would like to have 3 to 4 watches for me to rotate and as I rotate them I flip those that I gotten sick of. That way my collection keeps renewing and I always have new "grails" to wear.

It better not to have any, once you have it you will never stop.

I adopt the same rotating & "disqualifying" system (flipping those seldom worn), just that I am playing with 5-6 watches currently. From what I observe, many bros here practise the same system

Not counting vintage (which are worn once a while and need about 8), about 5 enough.

1 dress precious metal = platinum or Rosegold Lange
                            1 Pam
                            1 IWC
                            1 AP ROO/RO
                            1 Patek

                            Vintage: 5512, 1655, 1665, 1680, 1675, 16520, 16014, 6239

Yup! This is a good system! I can never keep a watch for more than a couple of months, some of which I only worn 3 times and I flip it. I learnt something from here.... The "holy grail" is a watch you have not owned, once purchased, it's just another watch.
