Finally got my dream watch after hesitating for a year, having sleepless night dreaming of iit n heart pain to throw over $40k on a watch....but the looks of it wins over the $$$$$.

Good question.

So far I have been influenced by comments about how the 5712 dial looks "cluttered". But I must say that at this point in time, I am tempted to get one on bracelet like some of the bros here....so if any of you are already thinking of selling ..heh heh let me know

Annual Calendar wears comfortably on strap. It feels lighter than the 5711R and the 5980, and lies in-between the 2 when it comes to case thickness.

yup, that's a common complaint about the 5712. I have gotten over the dial config issue as somehow i find its asymetrical nature very appealing. what i cannot get over is this - is it a dress watch or a sports watch?

To me, it is a dress watch. Although it would match fine with shirt/jeans as well.
