Hi guys, was at THH last week before i got my TT GMT Master IIc, was offered 8K cash for green sub. But when i was there yday, was told it was sold... Anyway, i got mine from THG at Millenia Walk at 15% off, so far the cheapest i was offered. Most AD offering at ard 13K. Looking for a TT sub now, was offered 18%off. Good Price?

I just came back from HK last week and gotten myself the 116710. I check out the price for the SUb 16610 & 16610 as well before deciding which one to buy. I checked 4-5 different AD at TST, Central, Wong Kok and all quoted same price and some give 8% discount on the Sub 16610 not the 50th aniversary model....I can tell bro here that the price you pay in HK is about S$1k cheaper.....some up to $1.5k if you compare to the price from Hour Glass here....

hmm perhaps it time to go HK and seek out good deal. but i remembered a couple of years back when i check out the RRP, its did not differ much compared to singapore ....the standard discount is slightly more, but if u were to use credit card, usually the bank xchange rate is rather high...so with that the price might work out to be about the same as in Singapore eventually.

however if can get extra saving of about 1 - 1.5k, i think its worth considering getting it from HK. the other thing is that there are many shops selling rolex, so one will need to go to the AD.

Hi, if u dun mind me contributing a little, even some list prices(i think except for ROLEX) r diff at diff companies/branches of te same company. Did leg work n discovered te list price of a particular hamilton watch diff betwn 2 companies, n te diff is $100! I m very sure it is te same model. So naturally, when u r given a bigger discount at te mre expensive outlet, u tot u "found gold". But when u compare a lower discount wif the cheaper price, u'll b utterly disappointed. From own experience.

If u can, WOS @paragon is nt a gd plc to buy watches. Try it out yrself to discover. Gd luck!

Can try WP & THG @ LP, usually they give 20% for datejust ( C.C payment ),
if pay by cash they may give 1 to 3% more discount.

I went by Watch Palace (you refer as WP, correct?) and was offered only 15%. Says cash & CC is the same? How did you manage the 20%?

it is not always a definite that you will get 20%. some customers get 20%, some get 18%, some get 15%. the reason why the variation of discount is due to the AD and client relationship.

if say i buy about 4 watches a year from WP and i recommend about another 4 customers who buys another 4 watches from WP. most likely i can get 20%.

if say i buy 4 watches a year, i will probably get 18%

if say im a potential new customer, i will probably get 15%.

this is one of the possible reasons why some client get 15, some 18, some 20.

another possible reason is that they need to meet sales target. so they might offer more discount to entice a potential client.

another possible reason is due to the bargain skills of buyer.

as such, different people get different discount. if u know someone is able to get 20% @ a particular place, try asking. if they dont want to give, go to another shop. there are quite a number of shops selling rolex besides dickson. even dickson has several branches.

bottomline, if u want to get another 5%, do more leg work. it is just whether u feel it is worth ur effort to do more legwork.
