what i mean is ........ for winders with a fixed TPD, at least a timer can help....

cos some of the lower-end winders have too high a TPD... closer to a 1000 TPD than the recommended 650

however, the winders i have all got built in 'cycle' so it will rotate for a specific period of time, then stop, then rotate again. so in this way, the tpd is fix to a certain number say 650 tpd and also its directions

what i was trying to say in previous posts is that some winders have a specific TPD for the rotors. with this orbita model, each rotor can be configure in the range of 650-900.

can elaborate how does the electronic timer alters the TPD?

add on module to the rotor so tat it increases/decreases the TPD? if yes, how to do it?

It's every 30 minutes ard 25 rotations .

Cannot remember ard 25 to 30 rotations .

Can set cw acw or alternate interval .

Fixed turns per interval .

For the type of money cannot complain .

Oh...MG has a winder if I am not wrong...for 5 watches...wah I think that costs like 3-4k ald...

ok. there is 2 schools of thought. some people say dont need to put them in winder. this is because there is no need to as keeping them wind up will cause parts to wear out faster.

another school of thought is that if u dont wind them the oil will be @ the rest position and after long time, the other parts will not have enough oil on them and hence wear will be quicker.

some get winder so that dont need to wind the watch when want to wear especially those people who has many date watches.
