this is a good option, with the added advantage of installment payments, but the watch has to go out of sg 1st, before returning..
did 1 gst claims at the airport before.. the customs officer requested to view the piece before going thru the procedure.. not sure if i''s 100% checks though..

This is good info shared..
But in any case buying high end watches anywhere you must always ask for the best price..
Best discount and best if you pay cash then more discount probably up to 40% depending on the brands.. And of coz the price must be of a certain amount.
A true watch collectors always pay for the best lowest price as they know generally what they want...

anything below $15,600, go with Cortina's ANZ promo
anything above $15,600, go with Hourglass's DBS promo
anything cheaper, shop here in SG-ROC... hahaha!

Retail is 15.7k? So it would qualify for the maximum $1000 rebate.
But if dealer can give 10% off (obviously more than the 1k rebate), i don't think the 1k rebate would apply.
And vice versa, if buyer takes advantage of the 1k rebate, don't think the dealer can give additional 10% off.
I guess this deal is for those who don't have a regular dealer to go to?

I just checked with my AD, he told me this is DBS Credit card promotion and the max 1k rebate will still stand.

So if retail on any given watch is for eg $20k and you manage to haggle for a 10% discount = $18k
You sign $18k on the VISA slip
You will ultimately still get 5% rebate back based on $18k = $900

Nothing from Sincere?
Either I missed their promo or they are still busy with the post-acquisition activities...

A $20,000 watch will get you the max $1000 rebate, which makes it better then Cortina's 13% via ANZ which is capped at $780max
However, a $6000 watch will get you $300 rebate, which is lower then Cortina's 13% which will give you $780
