Nikon J1 is not bad. Fast focusing, good picture/video quality, auto/full manual control... You may still able to get brand new from HWZ or Clubsnap below $500, standard kit (body + 10-30mm lens).

Hi guys,

I'm looking to get a new digital camera, don't do have any brand preference, and I'm not an avid photographer. Just want something user friendly, easy to use and able to take nice sharp pics for an upcoming holiday trip. Any pro/hobbyist photographer out there to help recommend me a gd one? Budget wise I'm thinking of around $600..thanks
