Clementi Claypot rice now shifted to commonwealth cres Hawker. The zu cha store before the hawker is pretty decent also. try the ginger chicken (deep fried). Yummy not common dish. Two chef featured on the news if after the hawker.

Best Food in the West of SG

Title sounds like asking for best food west of Singapore....that could be Acheh or Sri Lanka.

There are a few places in the Western Singapore front:
    1) Hokkien noodles in Clementi Central Market Hawker Centre - must queue and by 8pm, all gone
    2) Cai tau kwei in makeshift West Coast hawker centre/market - got to wait 30 mins on weekends
    3) Sunset way - HK style canteen - try the fried milk, fish porridge or wanton noodle.
    4) Shredded chicken noodles in Holland V.

For those who say East side food is better - dun forget where Holland V is located. And try the food at Chong Chin Nam (opposite Beauty World) - sedap! Don;t knock down my West side food.

I agree! West Side of Singapore has serious lack of delicious food. Btw, you can try the mee hoon chicken wings near Commonweath

The real crispy fried chicken wing, that is what i call real!

    ENG KEE
    Block 117 Commonwealth Crescent #01-711
(near the renovated Commonwealth Crescent Food Centre and Market)
    Open 4-11pm; closed Sundays

It's a coffee shop selling mainly halal food. There is a "Brother's Rojak", which is quite good. You usually have to queue up to buy.
