    will be at H.K from 24th of jan 2010 to 28th of jan....hehehe....go walk walk see see...but this time won't be fun time for me as OC is tagging along....so i suppose no watch hunting and ktvs and discos and others....

    Hope to be able to 'escape' for a few hours to play around...

    thick face skin walk out, and suck thumb lor. otherwise how? you gonna just stay in the toilet, or you going to rip the toilet cover, and use that until you can find a way to get home

    Or maybe the thief will drop you a note and say, your pants are down the end cubicle minus the valuables

    I had a friend encountered this before. However, this was way way before iphone releases.

    He placed his pants on the brick wall behind him, and went on with his business. He didn't noticed his pants was missing until he finished whatever he had to do. Later he found his pants in the next two cubicle away with wallet and mobile missing but keys were intact.

    Buy those cash/credit cards wallet with strip to hang on neck and conseal under clothing.

    I don't mind losing cash but not credit or ATM cards. Major hassle to lose these items.

    Truly amazing. First time, I heard of this.

    I only heard keep awake when traveling in buses or trains, otherwise pick pockets may target dreamers.

    Seems like have to take pre-caution to spread out the safe keeping of cash, and also be on special alert in crowded places. Toilet also can happen!!!

    in the airport careful about pick pockets, my staff go HK, and they manage to cut out his back pockets whilst taking a leak. walk out of the restroom, wtf, how come ass so cold . it was only then they knew they had their wallets relieved off them

    There are many shops in this area, and in the back alley. Shop till you drop.

    Ignore those touts (non-asian) who pass flyers around or say cheap items for sale.

    Even the ladies street market is in this area, but beware of pick pockets when visiting night markets or walking in crowded places.

    Will be going HK in Dec and staying in Nathan hotel, any good local food place or shopping area around the hotel?

    The hotel is located at Nathan Road, Yau Mai Tei area.

    Wise choice, it is a very nice and good hotel in hong kong island.

    Sheraton hotel is also good. Request for top floor and harhour view, but it is expensive at $300.00++ USD depending on seasons especially Christmas.
