Dunno if you know but the Laco Auto Type A 55mm 498/500 was first owned by me : ) I also had Type B 228/500, dunno who owns it now. Both bought from JW at high prices and I tried my best to take care of them.
Bro..U really willing to spend on watches leh..those limited 55mm are not cheap.. I think I should join A. Loong & Ho.. Then I confirm can wear Patek liao.. hahaha

Haha, thanks bro! I'm also really glad the Type A is in the ownership of a great guy like you. So Type B is in the safe hands of your guru, I gather? The chap I traded my Lacos with also a great guy, the trade netted me a very nice Graham Chronofighter.Originally posted by feilong108 View Posthehehehe...nice to know u r the 1st owner of the 498...lol....i think u meet a really ah beng kia to let go of both beauties right...u know who i referring to...lol...i know the buyer too btw...nice fellow...he is my guru...lolSweet 16:

Yeah, back then the Laco prices were not cheap, now more reasonable. Last years Laco Manual winding 55mms were a real steal. I bought Type A 23/50 but later sold off again as I had way too many pieces. One fine day, JW sold a used Type A manual winding for only $1100!Originally posted by leslie View PostBro..U really willing to spend on watches leh..those limited 55mm are not cheap.. Haha, I see. Funny thing is that he preferred the Type A over the Type B and was trying to sell of the Type B. So I was mildly surprised that the Type A ended up with you, which obviously is not a bad thing at all. I used to flip a fair bit also but now I'm pretty content with my collection. Just bought my cheapo AP today, or rather yesterday, so I think I'll follow in your footsteps and stop buying watches for a while... : ) Hehe, maybe buy jacket instead!Originally posted by feilong108 View PostYup..hehehe...he is a nice dude lar...very well-versed in watches..look like thug but have a heart of gold type lar...hahaha....

I dun like to flip watches one..But RSC forces me to do so.. Butchered my brand new 16570 within 2 weeks thus causing me to lose money.. I think it is a conspriacy so that they can get more ppl to buy their watches..

Haha, my AP is a simple millenary lah, nothing compared to those Royal Oaks. Ok, when I complete my AP 'project', I'll take photos to show you. The story is like this, I prefer another dial (military dial lah, what else) design on the Millenary range, so just wondering if can get AP to change dial (macham like Laco casing change dial from type A to B). I'll call up AP tomorrow to enquire if its possible and what are the charges; somehow I doubt they will entertain but I'll keep my fingers crossed. If this 'project' takes flight, then I'll consider my collection truly complete for a while and I'll just lurk the forum. No more buying for a long time or else I really gotta borrow from Ah Long already, haha!Originally posted by feilong108 View Posthehehe..i try not to flip...as flipping always cost me to lose buckets of $$$....now trying to find good home for my two affordables and i will lurk in here liao..hehehehe..
