i'd go for a day-date diver type watch (the dive bezel can be used to time things).

my brother was in a similar situation as you were. i bought him a tag heuer waf2010 day date diver. he would have prefered a day-date chronograph as it had all the functions he needed but it was a bit too big for his wrist.

tissot and hamilton makes some day-date watches, quite versatile and will suit your budget.

the japanese day date watches have varying accuracy and cannot be reliably adjusted... unless you're on a budget, i would steer clear and stick to pre-owned ETA-based watches.

however, the japanese watches are nearly bullet proof and can go for a long time without servicing... some are completely customizable too. but i'm a bit of an accuracy freak... so...!

Seiko is a good choice for your budget. Get the Diver's watch on bracelet easy to match with formal or casual wear. Can even change to Nato strap if you want.

You may read the threads on how to post pics here:

    http://www.sg-roc.com/forumdisplay.php?f=53

As for "Signature" portion, click Settings at the top right corner (beside Log Out). After that you can see on My Profile on the lower left and in it, the is Edit Signature. Click that and start typing your message in the message box. Save it and you should be able to see your "Signature", like mine.
