I'd say Glycine. Much as the bros here know I like Laco and Steinhart, these two brands are more known for their pilot watches. Glycine has more versatility, affordable lines include the Combat and Incursore models.

Any of the three is equally good. It is which particular model(s) you prefer.

Cannot go wrong with Seiko for such price range. You can also have a look at vintage watches such as vintage Girard Perregaux or even JLC. But size can be a drawback to some (i.e.: too small). You still can get more modern watches with ETA2824/2836 powered mechanical watch to fit your budget (Tissot, Hamilton are good start).

If you don't mind Japanese watch, Seiko and Citizen are very safe bets and you can get it brand new. If you are looking for continental watches, your budget will probably permit a used one from Lum-tec, Laco, Steinhart, Glycine or Hamilton. Try to get one of those with ETA 2824 movement which is a swiss-made reliable workhorse movement. Of course, if you really don't mind, you can also consider one of the "fashion" branded watches like Guess, Hugo Boss etc but most watch folks stay away from those.
