Cartier watches worth paying???

Why are Cartier watches priced so high?
Are they worth the money you pay for?
Are they comparable to brands like Rolex, Omega etc...?

Eta movement
Dial looks normal (but classic of Cartier)
Backcase - finishing looks like iwc portofino kind
Strap looks really bad
But price more ex than iwc portofino
7.75k or 8.75k.

For ladies watches, yes I think Cartier watches are pretty respectable but for men watches there are much better ones of better va

Mite be a bit out of topic. Last mth, Cartier AD said Cartier pulling out, and AD in Spore no more selling cartier from May onwards (can't rem which month). So no more AD 5% discount anymore.

last month i went to one of the Singapore AD n that is what he said. So in Spore can only get fr Cartier boutiques and no 5%. The date i think its either May or Jul. Can't rem.

Outside Spore i not sure.

Try cartier santos 100 XL or calibre de cartier with 1904mc inhouse movement otherwise is depends personal decision

Santos 100XL and DLC is by far the nicest but I really hate the silly way they fold the strap ! Stupid and it damaged the strap !

hey fellow enthusiast, cartier is historically significant for the watch industry for introducing 3 landmark design. #1: The 1st wristwatch (though can be argued), the santos is also #2 the 1st watch with screws that are exposed at the time when keeping the screws hidden or at a minimum is a must (so much for our AP's eh?). #3 the Tank is the 1st and main inspiration of art deco watches, the 1st rectangularly designed wristwatch.

Maybe its deep history in timepiece innovation can convince us that cartier is more than just your go to "jewelry shop".

So with that history lesson in 2 landmark watches made by cartier are they worth paying? Depends really on our preference.
