Omega Price Increase Singapore

when i visited THG or even swiss watches, they quote me a 10%+ discount from retail price. They may not carry the latest models.

I visited the omega boutiques in Raffles City and Ion only offers 10% but they definitely has the latest models.

After some checking around, i think the best place to buy an omega watch in singapore is Changi Airport terminal 2, Omega Boutique. They have the latest models (but may not have the full collection due to space constraint), and overall, they offer the AD discounts in the city and offset the GST of 6%. So go to airport early and grab your omega on your way out.

Do call them to check if they carry your desired model.

Its ok if the boutique offer 5%. I accept it too. Have u wonder Y retailers like THG or Cortina can give restricted discount of 12% ? ( previously 15%, WEF 1st March 2010 12% ) The boutiques usually gets the latest production stocks from Switzerland DIRECTLY 1st, the older productions are then distribute out to retailers after that. And most importantly. QC on watches headed directly to be sell at Omega boutiques are check VERY precisely, but not 4 those thats to be distributed to retailers. This is what i heard from my friend who is retired from the watch trade. Believe it or not. Pay more, u get safer QC on watches. And boutiques gets almost full variety of watches. Some ONLY exclusive where u cant find at retailers.

Well, the latest news I heard is that the price increase for Singapore has been moved to 1st April. (Not sure why)

Also, it affect mainly the models with the precious metals/stones. Changes to the price is between 5-8%. No confirmation whether SS models will be affect yet.

THG tells me the same thing too about the price increase. Anyway, I placed an order on a Broad Arrow GMT. Hopefully stock will come in soon.

Just for info sake...
Called up the Omega boutique and price increase is confirmed from 1st April
Overseas forums (esp USA based ones) have been talking of price increase from 1st March...
Anyway...for those who might be interested in buying brand new Omega watches, prob a good time to buy...soon.
