re-sizing President bracelet with hidden clasp

I have small wrists and one I remove one link, it takes the hidden clasp (back part) off center and bracelet rides at an odd angle.

Dealer I bought it from in the USA said he would have watchmaker re-size it.

What does this involve and will it hurt the value of watch or make it impossible to fit a larger wrist at a later date?

I kind of came to the same conclusion you mention, the watch with one link removed looks and wears reasonably well

this size watch looks fabulous on most women, I could never buy a Rolex in the woman's size
