  • Rolex Box numbers - are they date codes?

    Hi All

Not sure if this has been covered in some other thread but would appreciate being enlightened as to the significance of the numbers on the bottom of the older Rolex boxes.

Does the numbers on the bottom of the box reference the model of the watch or the year the box was made?

e.g like 74.00.71 what does it mean? this is suppose to be a 90s box.
