does having the crown upright makes a difference in performance of watch? does it affect the aestheics of the watch?

Its individual lah.. Like buying any branded item mah. Some pple don mind or even bothered abt tiny details but some do. Of cos unless tis kind of tiny detail like the crown nt upright costs a drop in resale value, then like tat different liao lo. Mati-mati mus make noise 1..

Heh, tat day told u guys i was going to buy meself some watches...?? I've bought liao. Didnt knw owning a mechanical watch is troublesome until te sales staff explained to me te do's & don's. I m still blur abt the adjusting of the time and, or date btwn certain timings...
Btw i bought a rollie (klassik one,datejust) and a tag Heuer, te aquaracer auto-chrono w/date oni. One orh-bin (blac fac) & one pei-bin (whte face). Guess which is te orh & which te pei??

well, I'm lucky. the coronet on the crown of my SD lines upright when fully screwed in. Personally, i think it wouldn't make much differences function wise but cosmetically (not that it is really very obvious) i do prefer it to be upright.
