i prefer polar rolex explorer 2 more.. as for those ppl that say pam can change strap.. rolex can do that also. i change mine to brown croc leather strap and it look beautiful

It's all down to demand, value wise. both are popular models among rolex watches, but submariner has the edge over the expl2 in terms of demand. that being said, i will go for the exp2, vs the sub or the mentioned pam. exp2 is the ultimate adventure watch that you can take to all activites and make memories with.

Personally I would go for Rolex. There is the track record there. Having said that, whatever floats ones boat. Life is short.

I am thinking of getting either piece from Japan. Wanna ask all of you for polls, though here is Rolex forum. I haven't owned any Panerai yet, but I do like 388 due to the rich history of Radiomir and inhouse movement. As I have a budget of $10k, I'm keen to get either Rolex Explorer II ($10,500) or Panerai 388 ($9,400).

In the meantime, any of you can give advice on getting watches from Japan? Heard direct discounts from taxes on the spot. Kindly share if you know. Thanks.
