I'd say it's a fake one if that guy is a random or not-too-close friend..
But if that guy is a good friend, I will tell him it's a genuine.

To be fair, there are so many fakes out there. A senior guy in my company once surprised me by declaring that his Panerai was fake. Wasn't expecting that as he can surely afford the real thing.Comment
