I can tell you why I did not buy a submariner (yet).
I think it's overpriced on the resale markets... relative to what the GMT Master II and Sea Dwellers go for.
Both are a good alternative to the Submariner ... can look similar, and cost less on the used market for a similar year model to a subbie. And in both cases... more features to play with!Comment

I find that the sea dweller is like a upgraded submariner without the cyclops.
