    hello folks,

been ages ever since i step inside this forum again.
well, ever since i sold off my one and only rolex...
kinda missing something in life (just joking)

would like to find out which is the popular sport series nowadays.
always like those sub, gmt 2, half gold type.
but just don't know which to go for.
i understand gmt is higher end, with my little budget of 5k to 10k.
not sure if i could afford one

nevertheless, objective will be models that are well demand, half gold type with datejust.

oh, it would be good if you could recommend me some shops that sell such models with installment plans. least i don't feel the damage at a go.

once again, i'm back to the poison. thank you!

u can consider the sports model now with that budget if you are heading to europe for holiday (or your friends relatives)...

price difference can come up to > $2k for some of the model which are selling at list price in SGP. GMT2C you can get it a around 7.5k SGD in UK or slightly more in other EU countries...

    cheers

      Hi
If you dun mind preowned and older models
with 10K you can almost get 2 sport models
Some people are selling P series TT blue sub for around 6.5K neg
If SS models, can get 2 for the budget of 10K anything, only thing is how old the watches are and conditions
search the garage sales and you may find what you want

      I found mine here !

      cheers

We seemed alike.. . Credit card instalments are usually offered by the local ADs, and they should be interest-free. Some do come with interest, maybe 2% - 3%. I, too, prefer to buy my watches on interest-free instalment, as long as I get the same discount as if I'm paying in cash. I treat it as a form of forced-savings for me.. .

          ya hor, good point there
but any warranty concern with the AD?

you serious? sub price went down so much?
mind me asking, SS = stainless steel?
          haha, abit lost touch.
in my industry (construction), SS stand for that.
not sure if apply to watches too..

$ hard to earn, i rather use the 10k and pump into stocks.

well, any recommendation for such ADs?
i been to a few, passion, watchage? etc..
don't have the model that i desire
i know P.H. is one of these shops but during my time, it was rather notorious so i fray away. Not sure of now.
for instalment, the price seems 2k higher than what the forum members are selling so if you really got such contacts.
          it would be deeply appreciated.

          lastly,
which is the recommended model for sub and gmt2?
          16613? or something like that..
          sorry, really lost touch

this 2 ADs, their price should be steep rite?
and for new piece only, if possible, hope to get a pre-own model

                Hi Kurt_629

Take note that whatever you buy brand new, once it become yours, it is preowned and price will drop.
So better to do alot of homework before you commit

Local AD set versus oversea AD BNIB set, diff at least 1K and above for TT sports model, you can see from the posting in garage sales
eg; sub tt v series BNIB
                local ad quote around 12.8K,
selling here in rolex garage around 11.2K or less

if you intend to get preown set
There is alot of places to check it out
PP complex/centre, balestier, golden landmark etc...
                and of course this forum.

Check and write down the price /series to compare, then you know the price to expect.... also take note that as it goes, there are change like no pinhole
chapter ring etc... enhancement. so it command differnt price

but most important is you must like what you are getting, not getting for the sake of getting

and once you got it, post pic for all to share

                cheers

Because I thought you'd wanted to pay in instalment, so mistaken that you wanted new watches. For pre-own watches, it is tougher to get interest-free instalment. And for a lower price, overseas pc, most dealers will only want cash payment in one lump sum, which also explains why the lower pricing.

Sometimes I just hope that those private/2nd hand watch dealers can offer interest-free instalment payment. I believe there are many people out there like us, who prefer to buy our watches thru' easy-payment mode, so that we can buy more at a shorter period..

Thank you for the valuable advices

mind me asking what is the different between local AD and oversea?
in terms of the watch value and condition, how would that differ?

Yeah, i notice that paying a lump definitely get much cheaper deal.

well, i forsee myself for the next few weeks, be going around hunting for my next-to-be rolex.
now, just need to determine the model of watch..

between sub and gmt2, i think i go for sub..
                    cheaper.
wanted those TT type, datejust, preferablely to be black face.

                    any recommendation?

                      Hi Kurt_629

Actually new sub TTc and GMT TTC price about the same
My seller told me price about less then S$100 diff, which is true from the price tag on my green rolex tags
Infact sub TTc is more expensive then GMT IIC.
If you intend to get GMT IIC later, you should get blue sub instead
if not later you have 2 black one as GMT IIC only have black in color.

So, maybe kena blue / black like me
blue sub tt c and black gmt ttc

btw, there is 2 ways u can do
save up them buy or buy then save up
                      cash deal is always cheaper

                      cheers

                          I find it LPPL

sell higher , meant bought at a higher price
buy lower, meant sell lower later lor

but saving of 1 - 2k, no need to say, go for overseas set
but hard to find and mostly cash deal.

only diff I find is that, the booklet inside could be of a different language

a sub - prefer to be a black face.

milgauss - black face, green glass.

but that would be 2 blackies

i notice for the sub, blue face seems to be cheaper.
                            around 6-7k?
                            black - 8k?

                            milgauss, green glass - 8k?
