  • If I could have just 3 Rolex watches..what should I get for the 3rd?

    Good morning Sg-Roc,

Digging for some suggestions here since I'm undecided. Currently I have a 116520 & a 16800 and I'm thinking of getting a 3rd Rolex and stopping there (not sure if thats possible but we shall see).

    I really want something different from the 2 models I have currently so nothing from the Daytona or Sub range. Heres my criteria;

    1) Preferably pre-owned, 7k SGD and under.
    2) Can be vintage/discon or current.
    3) 36mm and upwards

All opinions will be valued and considered! Thank you!

Seems like you and me are at the same crossroads at the moment!

Like you I'm also on the hunt for a 3rd, prefably a Rolex as well. I was thinking of a used President's Rolex, then a Datejust. Now I'm still pondering.

Anyway, happy searching for the 'One'!!!

Hmm, a 116400 GV Milgauss would be a nice addition to what you currently have?
      I want a 116505!

Looks like you are more on the sporty side of collecting.
May I suggest that you consider an Explorer II or any of the GMTs?

Get a GMT...very useful when traveling.

If you like vintage...1675 or 16750.

          If you like modern....GMT 2C

Thats a great idea Kuchingku. I do travel to China at least 3 times a year so thats a practical consideration.

I think I will avoid the current GMT2C...if I were to target a 16750 GMT Master, a matte dial w/o WG indexes is rarer than those glossy dials with WG indexes? How much could I expect to pay for either variant?

Maybe can consider a pre-owned date just II?

Definitely less than 6K for a good condition one. If you want box and paper, then will cost a little more. 16750 is easier to adjust date with a newer movement than 1675. Get the matt dial one and looks just like 1675 but with quick set. Best.

Thanks for all the inputs bros! I think I'm going to gun for a GMT Master probably a 16750 or the 16700. Now the search begins!
