Is the general servicing still $460? Back in Dec 2008 when I brought my watch for servicing it's $460. $450 back in 2007.

however RSC throws in double the warranty duration though...

Rolex Servicing Horror

Hi Guys,

Brought 3 watches down to RSC for servicing and was totally shock by the pricing....

1. YG DD President with 8 diamond = $940. pure servicing with no change in parts. OMG!

2. Date Just gold/SS without diamonds on dial = $1380. WTF say need to change so many things!!!

3. Date Just gold/SS with 8 diamonds on dial = $27++. need to change to original gold bezel, that alone costs $9++. then change this and that... wtf! $2,700+!

total about $5K. in the end went ahead to service 1 and 2 first. wanted to change the bracelet for no. 2 but was quoted $3,3++ wtf!!!!!! hai... need to look for a 2nd hand bracelet...

is this normal???

Well it should not matter whether a watch has diamonds or gold or SSteel if none of the precious metal or diamonds are replaced.The Daydate is only a Cal 3135 with the added Day complication into the cal 3155 so might be a little more expensive than the DJ with the standard cal 3135 to service.Rolex can only recommend what needs changing its up to you if you want to have it done myself would just have normal movement service.

I also brought in to service my date just ...$730..
Remark = crystal chipped case and bezel dented.
Stay in for a month.

Now I send to a friend to do servicing and polish who had 20 years exprience with RSC Seriously very surprise to see the charges by RSC

maybe RSC technician "cannot swim" must send the watches back to swiss to replace and send back
that's why need so long and so expensive.!

think brand watch is like expensive car, servicing also must be expensive
if cheap, may brings down the brand

Really scary! And all this while, I was under the impression that RSC's charges are relatively more reasonable than those by some other authorised svc ctrs ...
