the more i post, the more i feel like puking...

The Marianas Trench in the Pacific Ocean is 11,033 meters (36,201 feet) below sea level. If Mount Everest were placed inside of this trench, it would disappear. So water resistance of watches can still go deeper.

"Nine exceptional Rolex models present unique expressions of prestige, while embodying the brand’s unmistakable principles of quality, beauty and precision."

maybe the SD is not a quality, beautiful or precise enuff to be extra-ordinary?

can see all the sports models in the rolex gallery leh.

on rolex website...for extradinary watches, most of the sports series are there except SD....which makes me feel that it would the SD. to me, it is a truly extradinary watch, going deeper than the sub.

another reason is that sub had the 50th anniversary model. so not an ungrade so soon.

IMO, even if Rolex does announced an upgrade on the Sub line, it would likely be on the TT models first, just like the initial upgrades on TT GMT IIC before they finally rolled out the present SS GMT IIC later. I hope I'm right on the SD cos I own one but even if I'm wrong, any upgrades to the SS Subdate would be good news to all Rolex lovers
I feel likewise. Likely the SD may become bigger, possibly 42mm or even 44mm, since the trend now is on big watches. Rolex has already introduced the YMII with a 43mm dial but that's too expensive for most. So likely this SD will be introduced to fill in the gap.

Not sure what will happen to the current 16660. I'm hoping that it gets discontinued.
