What Rolex owners think of Panerai?

Read somewhere before that loooong loooong time ago...Pan used to start together with Rolex...somehow along the history the brands splited... Mayb i m wrong...still looking for tat article...correct me please n thanks!

Rolex manufactured some watches for Panerai. Some of the earlier PAM had Rolex movements.

Feel like buying a Pam I suggest dun waste money, jus get the rxw20mm, 1plus only and as good as Pam. Use the bal invest in a rollie,

I think it is all personal preference. I love both Rolex and Pam.

i also owned both a pam and rollie. Both are great quality watches and I wear them for different occasions.

I would go for a Pam 0 or 5. It satisfies my need for a bigger watch.

After reading this thread i'm so glad i never got myself a Pam, Putting those extra cash into another rolex would be better choice.

Panerai are nice however u only need 1 Pam but u can have many Rolex!!

think panerai and rolex are in the same tier
each is unique in its own
i started to like panerai when they started to design and make their inhouse movement

Agree. PAM is more for the fun of it. DIY change strap for 'new' look. End of the day, quality and movement is still playing catch up with the big boys.

If I were to buy it, then it's probably the most basic PAM000 but a little skeptical after reading about their PAM318 scandal.

All watch enthusiast should have a Rolex. You buy a Rolex bcos it is a Rolex, if you buy a Rolex bcos it is a watch, then you don't buy Rolex. That simple. Black Sub is a must for watch lovers. Should also have a Pam 312, 351, 359 anyone will do, its for fashion. Have a AP Diver too. Wear in good health. My view only.

Don't think I will ever get a Pam, not something i would like to put on my wrist. Eyeing for an Patek Philippe 5711 next.

Rolex is a legend. Panerai may become one day.
I don't agree with those saying PAM is a fashion watch, I think they have been able to create a very sharp identity & brand, love them.

When you compare watch to watch... Rolex is more worth it.
Most Pam under $10k are manual winding which is a pain.
