$107 would buy one's peace of mind with some good saving from grey dealer. Unless one is so lucky and happen that there is an sales promotion/offer coupled with availability in Europe, middle east airport and .......

If buying from a trusted seller, there's no need to authenticate the watch.. who in Spore would want to sell a fake, replica or substituted movements? The penalty for cheating is severe - rotan and jail!! Buy from SG_ROC recommended sellers.. get peace of mind!

Agreed most sellers are honest, trusted.
But some newbie maybe victims themselves. They may not know they are selling fakes.
So if not sure best go RSC for verification.

What do they do during the verification? Will they open up the casing to verify if the parts are original?
And will they write anything on the receipt or give a thorough written report?

I went to a pre own watch shop in far east plaza. I asked the shop auntie which of the 3 daytona on the display is the cheapest. She replied almost the same price. Clearly she is not answering my question. Quite an unpleasant experience.

I've learned to avoid shopping for pre-owned watches in Orchard/Scotts Roads area. The shop owners of assistants are of a different breed and I feel that it's almost impossible to get good deals there. Could be due to their high overheads or that the main reason they're there is because it's so lucrative targeting the rich tourists.
