Understand that the power of an auto watch will reduce over the years. By servicing the watch, will it helps to restore to its original power reserve specification? What is the acceptable range for a ten years old reduce in power reserve of original specification of 36 hours? Thanks. .

this is true because the mainspring in the barrel, after years of usage, may deform slightly and lose some of its elastic property, due to fatigue/wear. The reserve will be reduced - in such cases, the mainspring need to be replaced

No need to pay if you do a overhaul service with RSC, the mainspring is belongs to the list of wear and tear that require to change during an overhaul. This's what the lady at the counter told me last year... Cheers

Ok, noob question here. So roughly how frequent should one send for servicing? And how frequent should one send for "special" servicing, i.e. overhaul? Or is there no diff btwn e 2?

if you insist on meeting cosc requirements and water proof rating, get it overhauled once every 3years
otherwise once every 10years should be fine
