  • Marking on back cover after servicng from outside servicing

Is it truth that when you send your rolex watches to outside servicing, they usually mark the inside with "signature" of the back cover....

I'm not too sure about your situation but I came across some (non ROLEX) watches that my friends have sent for servicing and the interior of their watch cases were "marked". I guess it is some form of identification for these independent watch service technicians.

Some outside technicians do use a marker to show the date of service.
I once witnessed a customer saying to the repairman ,his watch was just fixed a few months ago,
but when the case back was opened it showed a date two years ago.

Just out of curiousity...will the permanent marker ink corrode the inside of the watch case??

You worry too much. The ink is dried and it applied only on case back
