  • Caliber 3135: Submariner versus DJ

Both have the same 3135 movement but big price difference in the preowned market. Functionality and probably looks are what sets them apart. Why are Submariner buyers willing to pay the huge price difference? Unless they wear it for diving.

The Submariner looks more versatile and is probably harder to come by?

same movement aside, the submariner has a rich history behind it
the look is classic and timeless, and is probably the most-copied design of all watches
as for diving, i am not sure how many submariner owners actually dive with a 10k+ watch on their wrist

I'm still a newbie in watches, especially Rollies...

Was told that the sports model retains higher value in the resale market compared to DJ.

Personally, I was considering 16613/16610 vs 116234. I'll likely to fall for submariner.

Wear the two model on your waist, you will find the answer.
The Sub will look more stunning.
