    yo bro,

like wat u said, the rest of your watches has little wrist time and so you are planning this move. my take is, a watch lover will ALWAYS be a watch lover. be it if u buy PP now or RG now, are u sure u will not be moved by newly launched models in the future?

i think the best thing now is to get watever u like. if anything new pops out, just trade.

dont limit yourself just to 1 or 2 watches, honestly, is this really wat u want?

For pp you need to send to swiss for servicing. Not many people know how to service it here and servicing cost for complication piece easily hit $5k+. Be prepared to pay high servicing cost and higher for parts.

For Rolex servicing cost is not high, many know how to service it and parts are widely available.

    Hope this helps.

If I can afford I would go for PP. Useful to have calendar. Beautiful movement.

The rest of my watch have to go and i only keep the 6694 and explorer 1 since my wife wearing it .
My intention is to sell away all those watch that doesn't get any wrist time , so that when the time arrived dun have to service so many watches , it shld cost quite abit .
Always thought i just keep 1 PP and a AP + my YG DD , but until i saw the RG daytona . Can't help thinking if i shld buy the PP in another 10 years time when i'm close to 40 yrs , cos IMO it suits those 40+ more than those in their 20s .
But i always wanted a PP in my collection , IMO holding on to a PP is like holding on to a very Nice piece of art craft in your hand .
Ohh...wah that's gonna be tough man. I would go for RG Daytona....then later buy PP hehehe

Resale is there...service cost is less...and besides you already have a patek. So gd to go for a RG Daytona

    boss,

since you already have a rolex for dress occasion, i strongly suggest the PP.

however, do note that the rolex sports model can double up as a casual as well whereas a patek is harder to carry off as a casual.

so it depends on what type of preference. personally if im in your position, i would say 1 daytona and 1 patek. easier to mix and match with your dressing.

now you got me thinking if i should follow your footstep

started a topic RG Daytona or PP 5146G

    RG Daytona or PP 5146G

    Hi ,
Need advise from you guys , Considering between the RG Daytona 116505 and the PP 5146G white gold with grey dial . I know the price diff between this 2 is around 10k , lets say i dun mind the price diff .
What do you guys advise ?
Which one had a better resale value if i will to sell it in future ?
Btw , i had already decide to use my Ap Roo RC and might add another Pam as my daily beater , and sell away most of my rolex sports model .
So i'm left with a Rolex YG DD as my only dress watch for those special occassion .
Should i buy the PP annual calender or the RG daytona and use it as a dress watch ?
My those so call special occassion probably less than 10 times per year .

    TIA
