athens is not a safe country now,considering all the chaos in greece about their country going bankrupt soon.U wouldnt wanna be caught in the midst of a crowd right after u come out of the shop with ur new purchase watch.U never know u might be one of the thieves or robbers' target.Speaking from personal experience,i was robbed in athens once.Luckily i didnt bring much valuables out that time.
Thats why i get my watches in other countries,much safer and price also comparable and some even cheaper.

Wow... Mind sharing where u can get rolex cheaper than this? I'm still planning another trip for Rolex shopping... Thanks in advance...

Just to add... I was actually looking for the new Explorer II 42mm but none of the ADs have it yet. 1 AD told me it will be launched on the 5th of Oct, but my flight was on the 3rd. N since there will be a strike there in Athens on the 5th (a big one cos the airport will be close), so got no choice but to come back earlier.

My Sub LV @ S$8,900

Hi guys, I got it from Athens... Of the 4 ADs I went to, all still selling it at retail price which is Euro6885, abt S$12,000, n only 1 AD have the physical stock. (3 have it in other outlet which can be delivered to the outlet i went to) The last AD I went to gave me a 10% discount (Euro 6200) but I have to go back the next day as it was already 5pm over there n dun wish to wait 3 hours for it.

I went back the next day n there it was, waiting for me... I asked again for a better price n the SA gave his final offer... Euro6,100... So after claiming 15.7% tax rebate at the airport, my cost price for the hulk is Euro 5142, which after my cash conversion rate of 1.725 (I bought cash there for it), my cost is S$8,870.. Will post some pics once i managed to capture some decent shot of it...

oh ya...anyway...before i set my decision on the eastern watch...i been to bencoolen there too....only one new sub is left...the rest are older pre own subs...the price quoted for the brand new sub is 10.1k..
