Same feeling here abt the feeling of the watch. There's a half link "limiter" on the clasps of the GMT 2. This allows more fine adjustment of the tightness of the watch and can be changed without any tools. Compared to the Sub, will either need to remove / add a link, or expand by approx 2 links thru the release of the "diver expanded" link on the clasps. I'm quite some my terminology is wrong, but the meaning is there lah!

After recently getting my new 116710LN, I was presently surprised how better fitting it was to wear than my Sub.

First the GMT 2 seems slightly larger and fits the wrist nicely.

The improvement to the bracelet was also great.

Go try them both out before deciding.

However, i love both of them equally.

Sub is now my everyday watch with the GMT as a dress watch.

    Hi all,

I have a comparison posted here...

The above pict is a Sub with a GMT bezel insert laid on top of it...

    I hope the page helps

Maybe TS can give us your reason for asking, then let the brothers here give you more accurate advice in relation to your concerns and your expectations.

A sub, GMT and Explorer each has its own perks... so its really what you are after.

Got quite a few functional as well as cosmetic difference wor.
    Just to name a few,
    1) Different marking on bezel insert.
    2) The bezel insert of gmt seems abit more shiny, sub one more matt.
    3) sub got bigger triplock crown, longer fliplock clasp, dive suit extension
    4) the side of the bracelet of gmt is polished, sub is brushed finish.
    and many more.

At the end of the day, it depends on which one you prefer.

The GMT was created with the frequent traveler in mind, especially the airline pilot. The sub on the other hand, was meant for the divers. Pilot do not normally need to go so deep unless of course the plane takes a plunge into the ocean.

But then again, if that happens the pilot has a much bigger worry than the concern for his watch water resistance.
