From what it was researched over the recent set of serialised system ROLEX is using on their watches, the 'G' series seems to be used on the latest set of their watches. Before that was the alphanumeric serial numbers and earlier than that, the 'V' series. I suppose 'G' may be the last series for the current, or should I put it, older Explorer II model (16570). The new ROLEX 216570 has entered the market. Oh, maybe I should put it, "entered the forum" too (two pcs are on sale now )

The last I know was $7,847 in June 2011. It should be much higher now, probably early $8K? 'Good AD' is subjective but you can try the Hour Glass, Sincere Fine Watches, Cortina, Dickson Watch, Tai Hong Hung, Watch Palace, etc.

If it is 1+ yr, likely is V series. 5300 is very reasonable provided the condition is good with no dint and come with box and gcard.

I think it is at its record high now ($9K+ ?) and I don't think it should go any higher. Then how to sell the new model?

Thanks ocean. Do you think the current EX 2 price will increase when the new EX arrived?
